For your Inner Calm toolkit…
I hope you’ve had a good week.
Mine has been something of a creative whirl – I’ll be bringing you news of those efforts very soon! 🤩
In the meantime, I’d like to share with you one of my favourite coaching tips that has helped me stay calm and productive during a very busy week.
Essentially it’s a psychological trick for scheduling worry – which sounds like something you wouldn’t want to do.
And yet, this mighty little technique has helped me restore emotional calm and inner balance so many times that it’s become a tried-&-trusted relief strategy.
Even though I’ve had a lot to do this week, this tip has helped me to simply take one day at a time, which has been a true saving grace. 🙏🏻
It’s an idea I originally shared on my blog way back in the days when I was facing domestic overload rather than creative challenges.
So it clearly has staying power, being just as relevant and effective over a decade later, possibly because it is universal in application.
It’s as relevant for writing a book or producing a movie as it is for building a business or getting through a crazy week.
So I hope you’ll take a look to see if this tip can be one for your Inner Calm Toolkit…
I highly recommend practicing it ASAP to see how it works best for you, so that if you find yourself veering towards overwhelm, you’ll know exactly how to restore some balance.
And because I LOVE to give my little theories names and make them more memorable, I christened this technique The Scarlett O’Hara Moment, inspired by the words of one of my favourite literary characters. 💃🏻
I’d love to hear what you think!
Wishing you a relaxing and restorative weekend,
Danielle
